better late than never – b&bw holiday candle haul

happy saturday blog day from me and my couch! as you can tell by the title, this one is going to be about the candles i had purchased prior to the holidays that i had totally intended to write a post about before christmas, but if you read my last post, i’ve been on somewhat of a hiatus for the holidays. but i figured, better late than never, right?! bath and body works candles are always relevant.

if you’ve read my fall candle post, you’ll know that i never buy these candles regular price. i mean, they’re great, but not $25 worth great. so of course i purchased most of these when they were half off. and if you’re a b&bw fanatic like me, you’ll have known it was candle day december 1st which means all of their candles were $8. EIGHT M*THERF*CKING DOLLA DOLLA BILLS Y’ALL. this is how you three-wick candle on a budget.

i bought my candle day candles at 2am on the 1st after i had taken a three hour couch nap which i highly recommend if you want to participate in this event next year because 1. i happened to pass by the b&bw in lincoln park when i was on my way to a manicure appointment and the line outside the store to get in was INSANE. it was pouring that day but that didn’t stop those people from living their best candle life and 2. most, if not all, of the candles were sold out online by that afternoon/evening which made my 2am purchase from my bed all the more genius. btw, can you believe this whole paragraph was essentially one long run-on sentence?

i’m trying to keep this post short and sweet. i was obsessed with these candles for the holidays and even now since it’s still winter and i’m not ready to let the holidays go. like i’m legit in-denial. which you can obvi tell by the fact that my christmas tree is still up and b*tch i have no shame. i might start a petition to always have lights up year round because it just makes everything prettier.

y’all have heard me talk about how my favorite candle scent is anything sweet. the sweeter it is, the more i love it. so it’s not a surprise that most of these candles smell like vanilla and love and cookies baking and all that other happy sh*t. if i can’t bake and eat regular cookies (see my gluten-free post for more info on that) at least my apartment can smell like them!

and let’s not forget how much i love the candle designs. these candles added a subtle addition to my overall christmas decorations and vibe. i love all of these but if i had to pick a couple must-haves, it would be merry cookie and salted caramel. *insert drooling emoji here* so that’s pretty much it about these candles. i know, i’m just as shocked as you probably are that this post isn’t super long like my other ones. these candles made christmas a vibe for me this past year and if you decide to treat yo self to some holiday candles this christmas, i hope this post gave you some inspo.

and on that note, i thought i’d mention that i feel a bit more like i know what i’m doing with my life now than when i wrote my last post. i have some legit new year’s resolutions about how i want to be a better me and sh*t but i thought i’d share that my other resolutions include using the crest white strips i bought from one of my many wild target trips that i’ve been too lazy to use and watching more of the shows on my netflix list because i’m basically hoarding shows on there yet always end up watching my favs riverdale and pretty little liars. don’t you dare judge me. like i really want to watch that new show you because i heard penn badgley portrays a hot af stalker a little too well.

alright you wonderful beautiful people reading this blog – i love you. i’m off to spend the entire day in my pajamas because it’s snowing and i’m not trying to leave my apartment so you know that means one of these candles is about to be lit.
