happy weekend friends! this is going to be a quick one, i’m in the middle of a chilling adventures of sabrina part 2 binge and OMFG i can’t breathe watching the last few episodes of this season. i would just like to take this moment to thank the universe for nicholas scratch aka gavin leatherwood. and also, sabrina spellman is my queen. so basically i had to tear myself away from my tv, like the show is literally on pause as we speak, to bring this wonderful content to the world. today’s post is my recent bath and body works candles purchase! y’all know i love me some b&bw candles.
it was about d*mn time for some new candles because i’d still been using christmas/holiday candles in february and knew i needed some new candle babies in my life. about a month or so ago i ordered five new candles that were still the same sweet vanilla-y scents i love, but with non-holiday packaging, that could bring a little bit of spring/summer vibes into my life. two of the five aren’t pictured here because one of them shattered while i was carrying a bunch of candles in my arms (hence the title) and the other smelled like fake plastic. yeah, that’s right, i just said fake plastic.
as the title informs, my bff britney was at my apartment where we were drinking wine (of course) and i went to grab my new candles to show her and when i gathered them back up in my arms to put them away, as i’ve always done so quite professionally without any candle injuries, next thing i know one slipped out of my hands and literally shattered all over my kitchen floor. there’s photo evidence of me trying to sweep up the tiny af glass shards with my swiffer because i don’t have a broom that i won’t show here lolz. RIP white caramel cold brew candle, you’ll be missed. anyway, here are the candles that are still in one piece and smell quite delicious!
that vanilla bean candle might seem basic af, and i was quite hesitant to purchase it because i’m like PFT IT’S JUST VANILLA……… but holy sh*t it’s so much more than that. it also has marshmallow notes so this candle smells absolutely wonderful. don’t underestimate that basic af vanilla bean!!!!! and you can’t go wrong with cinnamon AND vanilla. and finally, i may or may not have bought that aloha beaches one simply because i love puns, but it smells both sweet and fresh, which is perf for spring and summer. let me know if y’all have any other candles you think i might like! i’m never opposed to adding more to my collection because to me, candles are like shoes, you can never have too many! ok bye i’m off to continue netflixing and chilling!
