as the title suggests, i’m going to talk about my perfume collection, which for the sake of time and energy, will not include any body sprays and rollerball perfumes i have as well. those will be saved for a future post. i want to mention that i prefer sweet and sultry scents because – if you’ve read any of my posts where i mention 2948903 times that i hate fruity scents – i also don’t like super fruity perfumes. so without further ado, here are my perfume babies!
let me start with my ride or dies: the two juicy coutures on the right. i don’t think there’s anything quite as classic as viva la juicy. this one is a fav of mine to wear all year round. i start panicking when i can tell i’m starting to run low on it. it truly is one of the best smelling perfumes there is. however, viva la juicy rosé is also THAT B*TCH. it doesn’t get any better than a perfume that is named after my favorite wine. this one doesn’t necessarily have a fruity scent, but it definitely has more of a spring/summery vibe. i actually didn’t really like this one at first, but it grew on me and now i couldn’t imagine my life without it. i want my life to be equal parts classic viva la juicy and rosé. also, their perfume designs never disappoint.
if you know me, you’ll know i’m a huge ariana grande fan. plz keep all your ari hate comments away from me. not only does she slay in the music world – i haven’t stopped listening to sweetener and now she drops a whole other album with my new bad b*tch anthems thank u next and 7 rings – but she also slays in the perfume world. i know from the last paragraph that it seems like juicy couture has my fav perfumes BUT i’m just going to let y’all know that if i could only have one perfume for the rest of my life, and have an endless supply of it, it would be ariana’s sweet like candy. this perfume smells like vanilla and independent women living their best lives and dreams coming true. this is my go-to perfume whenever i’m going out. i love it so much i cherish it and protect it from mundane everyday wear.
with that being said, i also want to mention that i’ve smelled her moonlight perfume which comes in a similar bottle and it does not even COMPARE to sweet like candy. i’ve also tested her new cloud perfume and would purchase it in a heartbeat but i cannot handle the bottle/packaging. if you know, you know. that sh*t is too bulky, looking like a cloud that a care bear would be sliding off of. it’s not very practical. i’m here for it if she decides to re-package it tho. and if you think i’m forgetting about her ari perfume, don’t you worry, it’s on my list of new beauty purchases.
this next one is pretty bougie. who do i think i am owning anything versace? but i smelled this bright crystal perfume when it was a sample in one of my cosmo magazines and i was like yo i have to have this. then when i saw the price i was like ok do i really need this? and clearly i convinced myself i did, which is what happens when you go to ulta without a timeline so you walk around aimlessly justifying a bunch of YOLO purchases. i personally believe this one is also more of a spring/summery scent. but you do you, obvi. it somehow smells both fresh and sultry at the same time. it’s also a gorgeous bottle and i live for the fact that the perfume itself is pink.
the last two pictured at the back left are both victoria secret perfumes. i can’t take credit for these because my parents gifted them to me for christmas a few years ago. the tall slim bottle is called heavenly and tbh it’s nothing amazing or anything to obsess over, but it’s been a go-to for my daily life since i got it. i will say use it mostly around fall and winter. the shorter one with the red ribbon is paris and this is also not one i gravitate toward for non-work occasions. it also smells like it’s not sure if it wanted to be perfume or cologne, so there’s that. i enjoy both of them but when they’re done, i wouldn’t rush to repurchase.
so there you have it! my perfume collection that lives on my vanity. and yes that sign is also on my vanity where i see it everyday for attempts at inspo and motivation. i’m always looking for new perfumes that would be great additions to the family so feel free to let me know if you have any in mind! also – sorry for lack of post last saturday – i was lazy af and spent the weekend eating my feels and binge watching the unbreakable kimmy schmidt, wondering why i haven’t seen the show sooner tbh #titusandromedonismyhero
